Installing Strap Locks
There is no substitute for having a hand on your guitar that's ready to catch it should a strap, button, or strap lock come loose. Strap locks are an aid, not a guarantee.
Most players using strap locks prefer that I provide plain round mounting holes instead of the typical keyhole shape hole with slit.
Because a Brookwood Strap is made from substantial leather it would be very difficult installing strap locks. So I prepare the strap for you by compressing the leather around the mounting holes to insure an easy installation. When using Schaller type locks don't push the lock barrel through the strap. Take advantage of the threads on the barrel and 'screw' the lock into the strap.
