I have no employees and I do not subcontract any of the work that goes into the making of a Brookwood strap or handle. Mine are the hands that select the hide, color and condition it, carve, cut, craft, and sew it into the finished product. If you have questions, I will be the one answering your phone call or email. I do all the packing and shipping, create and maintain the website, and do all the photographs, (except where noted).
I start by selecting only the finest premium grade hides. In addition to cosmetic quality, I insist on leather substantial enough to do the job of distributing the weight of even the heaviest guitar across the entire width of the strap. The result is a more comfortable strap. Each strap is individually made, one at a time, from beginning to end. I hand work each strap to make it more supple and pliable, and it will just get better with age and use. Every aspect of your strap is given my sincere effort to craft the finest guitar strap you will ever own.
